Paul Harris, M.Ed.

After 10+ years in the public education system, Paul realized that parents and students were not getting the attention they needed. It is not uncommon for families in other parts of the country to hire an independent counselor to work with them outside of school.  Families in San Antonio and the Hill Country must also want the best for their college-bound student too. He started Polaris as the solution so many families need.

Polaris provides the perfect opportunity to focus on the part of counseling that Paul enjoys the most--college admissions.  He has visited over 40 colleges throughout the United States.  Click here for a list of colleges that he has visited, or will be visiting in the near future.  

Paul received his BA in Mass Communication from The University of Texas--El Paso. In 2004, he graduated with his M.Ed. in School Counseling from Texas State University--San Marcos.

Lana Harris

Lana launched Polaris College Prep with husband Paul Harris to provide families with the resources and expertise to navigate the confusing landscape of college selection and planning. 

A marketing and communication professional by trade, Lana works on the business end of the organization. Her goal is to form partnerships within the community to create more awareness of these services to families in need.

Always devoted to her community, Lana holds a board position with the Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio.

She is a graduate of Texas State University--San Marcos, where she received her BA in Mass Communication and minor in Business Administration.
